Attractions

There are many wonderful attractions to experience during your stay in Norwood, NY.  One of my favorites sayings is from Jesse Owens' coach telling him, "if we walk long enough and talk long enough, maybe we'll get to know one another."  It is with great joy I highlight some of our area's activities that may enhance your visit while getting to know us.

Norwood Village Green Concert Series

Each summer Norwood brings outstanding musicians from around the country to entertain each Sunday and Thursday evenings.  These are held at the village green bandshell with a pass the bucket donation.  Bring your own chair or blanket, and enjoy a relaxing evening filled with music.  The photos to the right are of our own Norwood Brass Firemen playing at the park for a special tribute to the founder of the Concert Series, Joe Liotta, given to him the summer of 2015.

Adirondack Hiking

Hiking, fishing, skiing, and shopping are within an hour and a half drive from Rose of Sharon.  This will take you into the Adirondacks including Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Titus Mountain. We are also close to the Eisenhower Locks in Massena, the Thousand Islands, and Blue Mountain Lake.  Visit either the Potsdam or Remington Museums, attend a Crane School of Music concert, or cheer along at a local college hockey game.  We do not lack for something to do in this beautiful North Country.  So, whatever path or activity you choose, may you always have "Happy Trails."

Ice Cream and Local Dining

Norwood has two of our favorite places to dine.  The Hometown Cafe, located on Main Street, is an old fashioned diner and ice cream stand with delicious evening specials. Just south of the village is The Lobster House, known for its fabulous steaks, seafood, and clam chowder.  Either location will satisfy the desires of your stomach.
